چکیده
We perform numerical studies in QCD kinetic theory to investigate the energy and angular profiles of a high parton - as proxy for jet produced heavy ion collisions passing through Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). find that fast loses plasma mainly via radiative turbulent gluon cascade transport locally from down temperature scale where dissipation takes place. In this first stage, structure is found be relatively collimated. However, when lost reaches it rapidly transported large angles w.r.t. axis thermalizes. contribution soft constituents total energy. show opening about 0.3 rad or smaller effect negligible. Conversely, larger become more sensitive thermal component thus medium response. Our result showcase importance cone size mitigating enhancing details quenching observables.

متن کاملMultiparticle production and thermalization in high-energy QCD
We argue that multiparticle production in high energy hadron and nuclear collisions can be considered as proceeding through the production of gluons in the background classical field. In this approach we derive the gluon spectrum immediately after the collision and find that at high energies it is parametrically enhanced by ln(1/x) with respect to the quasiclassical result (x is the Bjorken var...
متن کاملQCD resummation for jet substructures.
We provide a novel development in jet physics by predicting the energy profiles of light-quark and gluon jets in the framework of perturbative QCD. Resumming large logarithmic contributions to all orders in the coupling constant, our predictions are shown to agree well with Tevatron CDF and Large Hadron Collider CMS data. We also extend our resummation formalism to the invariant mass distributi...
متن کاملAutomated resummation of jet observables in QCD
Understanding the physics of event shapes and jet rates (collectively jet observables) requires a deep knowledge of QCD dynamics. Their distributions (defined as the fraction of events Σ(v) with the observable’s value V less than v) explore a wide range of physical scales, from the more inclusive region v = O(1), well described by fixed order perturbative (PT) calculations, to the extreme exclu...
